About DiscPts

DiscPts is a small set of free calculators for one specific closing-table decision: whether mortgage discount points are worth buying. We built it because the math is simple but easy to misjudge under pressure at signing.

Every calculation runs in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored. Our editorial standard is plain language and standard amortization formulas — no affiliate links to lenders, no lead forms.

Calculators are reviewed by a licensed mortgage loan officer. Where tax or legal consequences matter, we point you to a qualified professional rather than guessing.
